As a parent, there is likely nothing more devastating than learning your child has a serious disease. On the flip side, there is likely nothing more soul warming than an incredible community coming together to make a difference in the fight against that disease. On Friday, April 29th, that happened. While the Burke family and their son, Benjamin, spent the evening on the front lines of the Leukemia battle, dozens of people came out to show support and throw punches at cancer.
The event included spin and other fitness classes at Rise combined with pizza and refreshments at North Side Bar & Grill, a raffle with an epic set of offerings, and a live auction offering some amazing items.
