Gabby is a strong and beautiful 13 year old young lady that enjoys soccer, dancing, reading, and playing the flute. Approximately 8 years ago, Gabby underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor and has been in good health until some new symptoms started to appear in the early part of 2014. After some testing, the doctors at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Il discovered a new tumor and determined that it should be surgically removed. On April 28th, Gabby underwent surgery to remove the new tumor. And thanks to the top notch medical professionals at Luries (as well as Gabby’s strong mindset) she came out like a champ! The best bit of news was that subsequent scans showed that the surgeons had successfully removed the tumor in its entirety. However, she would still need to undergo 6 weeks of Proton Therapy to further ensure that any remaining tumor cells have been eradicated.
Now onto some fun!
While visiting Gabby following her surgery, I asked her if she would enjoy doing a photo shoot. Her eyes immediately lit up and she responded with a quick, YES! We then began to coordinate with local businesses to assist with the shoot. See more information at the bottom of the page!
Now have a look at this amazing young lady!
