What better reason to have a carnival than to celebrate a life? Kaden’s Karnival is a tribute to the life of a special and unforgettable boy, Kaden Sweigard, that was born on July 8th, 2012, . Kaden was born with a rare chromosome 7p deletion. His deletion most likely caused a very rare disease, of which he died from, “diffuse pulmonary lymphangiomatosis”. Kaden was known as a “Little Fighter” from the start and his family enjoyed many special moments and smiles with him. Sadly, all too soon, it was October 30th, 2012 that Kaden passed on.
The day started out with rain…lots of rain, and it was feared that the carnival would have to be put off, but the sun made a push and the day ended up being perfect for the celebration! During this photography session in La Grange Illinois, I immediately noticed there weren’t any sad faces, only celebration…that said, I noticed a very special pillow on the couch, near some very touching pictures of Kaden and his family. It read, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened”- Dr. Seuss. Well, this family certainly knows how to Smile….and it was spectacular to witness.
…take a look.
